Tanga Designs, helmed by founder and creative designer Niyitanga Olivier, is poised to make waves at Moscow Fashion Week 2024. Their presence represents not just a brand, but the rich cultural heritage of Rwanda on a global stage. Niyitanga expressed his excitement, stating, "I am honored to see TANGA invited to be a part of the prestigious BRICS+ Fashion Summit this year, showcasing creativity on a global stage. It's inspiring to see the fusion of tradition and innovation coming alive in Moscow, with TANGA standing tall among the global fashion elite."

The first day of the BRICS+ Fashion Summit set a promising tone for the future. Guest speakers shared their views on the forum and their takeaways from this year's event. Hassanali Mustafa, Chairman of the Tanzania Fashion Association and Swahili Fashion Week, remarked, "I'm delighted to be here. This is a representation of different cultures from around the world. I met people from Cambodia, Fiji, Panama, Honduras, Vietnam, Lesotho, Algeria, Libya, and many more countries. I hope more countries will come to the BRICS+ Fashion Summit."

Echoing this sentiment, Hussain Sagar, a journalist from Bangladesh, noted, "BRICS+ Fashion Summit is very useful for us, for Asian countries. It's great to have some Indian culture and some Bangladeshi culture here. And I have already found something for myself in the culture of the country, in Moscow. This is really cool. I've also talked to friends and colleagues, and they've told me that they feel something similar. I feel that the BRICS+ Fashion Summit is an event that lays the groundwork for new ventures."

A highlight of the event is the "Heritage" International Exhibition at Concert Hall "Zaryadye," showcasing cultural fashion from BRICS+ countries. Curated by Olga Mikhailovskaya, the exhibition brings together more than 40 distinguished designers from BRICS nations and developing countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Visitors can expect to see over 150 mannequins dressed in unique garments that reflect the diverse heritage of these regions, complemented by multimedia displays showcasing the creative processes of artisans.
